Nootropics are ingredients people take for the mind: focus, memory, attention. Caffeine is the one almost everyone has tried. Some have decades of human trials behind them and some have very few, so our Science Corner links the studies for each one we use.

Adaptogens are plants, such as ashwagandha, that people have used for centuries to cope with stress and tiredness. The word comes from tradition, not from a lab test. Modern trials study each plant on its own, and the results vary.

Because the day has two halves. RALLY is for the daytime and has natural caffeine and nootropics. RESET is for the evening and has no caffeine.

Both Serra cans are zero sugar. Every ingredient is named on the can, with no proprietary blends. And there are two cans: one for the day, and a caffeine-free one for the evening.

RALLY has 100 mg of natural caffeine in each 250 ml can, roughly what a cup of brewed coffee has. RESET has none.

RALLY has natural caffeine, so it can have the effects caffeine has. It also has L-theanine, an amino acid from tea that human trials have studied together with caffeine for attention and mood. People react differently to caffeine.

Caffeine can affect sleep, which is why RALLY is a daytime can. For the evening there is RESET, which is caffeine free.

RALLY: morning routine, workout push, afternoon pick-me-up, high-stakes moments. RESET: after a hard day, after training, winding down, late sessions.

Nothing is hidden in a proprietary blend. RALLY: natural caffeine, L-theanine, Panax ginseng and liquorice root, with vitamins B6 and B12 and electrolytes. RESET: KSM-66® ashwagandha, myo-inositol, glycine and L-tryptophan, with L-theanine, magnesium citrate and zinc citrate.

Yes, in people. Caffeine, L-theanine, Panax ginseng, ashwagandha, glycine, myo-inositol and L-tryptophan all have human trials, and we link them in our Science Corner. The vitamins, minerals and electrolytes are there for their everyday role in the body, and liquorice root is a traditional ingredient. None of the studies tested Serra itself.

It usually means you can't see how much of each ingredient you're getting. Serra names every ingredient on the can.
